The complete uniform consists of the following in good condition and level specific: Uniform skirt or pants, uniform polo, uniform fleece, gym shoes or dress shoes (tie or loafer style) and socks suitable for school. Peace Pride days are out of uniform days in which we celebrate school spirit. Students will be appropriately dressed in authorized apparel, including a Queen of Peace top as the outer layer and an appropriate pair of pants or skirt.
Thirty minute lunch periods are highlighted by hot lunches and/or salad bar. The students have many choices and their favorites such as Taco Tuesday. A student may bring her lunch from home, or she may buy it in the cafeteria. The cafeteria also serves breakfast before school.
Typically, students will report to homeroom every Monday through Friday during the “HR” time slot. During this time, students will receive information and updates on school events.
Typically, a student has a half hour per subject of homework per night.
The typical day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:52 p.m. with 45 minute periods and homeroom of 30 minutes daily. On Mondays there is a shortened schedule and students have 39 minute periods and are dismissed at 2:03 p.m.
This communication tool is part of the educational program at Queen of Peace. Students, teachers and parents all have access to share assignments, grades, and links to events. Schedules, calendars, and contact with teachers and administration are all available through this on-line resource.
