Integrating Technology into Curriculum

The goal of this 1 to 1 laptop initiative is to integrate technology seamlessly in the classroom so that the technology itself is invisible in support of learning in a standards-based curriculum. This state of the art tool provides a variety of new ways to learn, and in the process, fosters independent thinking, problem solving, and collaborative learning-all of which are highly desirable skills in today’s expanding global marketplace. Students can test scientific theories with simulators, discover ways to prove ideas using multimedia, and collect environmental data through hands-on experiments.

They will use the Internet to experience the world through virtual field trips and will have immediate access to prove a point of view. They will exercise their creativity with software applications in art, writing, music and more. All of these opportunities mean using technology as a powerful tool to enrich content learning.
