Queen of Peace students focused on hunger and helping those in need during Hunger Awareness Week, Nov. 17-21. Students raised more than $2,200 and donated food items for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Throughout the week, students and faculty were encouraged to give to Change for Change by bringing brown-bag lunches and donating the change and money they would have spent on a cafeteria lunch. Students also brought canned goods and gathered in Peace’s chapel to reflect on ways to help others during the annual Hunger Awareness Prayer Services.

Why Peace Matters

As the leading Catholic Dominican high school in the nation for women, Queen of Peace has challenged and motivated young women to think critically and use their voices for the last 45 years. When you invest in Peace, you invest in the next generation of leaders.
