Peace Calls on 6th & 7th Grade Girls to Lead

Burbank, IL – February, 11, 2008 –Queen of Peace High School invites all 6th & 7th grade girls to participate in Peace’s annual Grammar School Leadership Conference. This year, students will gather on Feb. 23, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. – noon at Peace. They will take part in icebreaker and teambuilding activities, as well as explore current research on leadership styles, work together to solve problems and communicate their group work publicly. They also will learn the art of goal setting and come away from the conference feeling more confident in their leadership abilities. The conference will be facilitated by Rosemary Scanlan, director of recruitment, with the support of Peace students. Pre-registration is required. Call 708.458.7600, ext. 292.
