Peace Celebrates Catholic Schools Week

Queen of Peace High School students, faculty and staff celebrated Catholic Schools Week Jan. 26-30, 2009, with a number activities centered around this year’s theme, Celebrate Service.

On Monday, Jan. 26, the entire student body, faculty and staff kicked off the week with a special Catholic Schools Week liturgy.

Parents, grandparents and guardians visited Peace during their student’s morning classes on Tuesday, Jan. 27, and then attended a Recognition Assembly. Faculty and staff greeted students with cheers on Student Appreciation Day, Wednesday, Jan. 28. During homeroom, students exchanged small gifts.

To show student appreciation, Queen of Peace Student Council members served lunch to the entire faculty and staff on Thursday, Jan. 29, and wrote each staff member a personal note of appreciation.

A Spirit Assembly closed the week, calling all students to express their pride in their classmates and school.
