Campus Ministry

Gospel values direct all Peace initiatives, as a vibrant campus ministry program provides frequent opportunities for prayer, liturgical celebrations, retreats and service. Christian Living classes provide four years of religious study that is focused on scripture, faith development, and personal and social morality. For more information about Peace's Campus Ministry, please contact Kat Greenan, Campus Minister, at greenank@queenofpeacehs.org or (708) 458-7600, Ext. 240.

Christian Service - Students provide service to our school community as the need arises. The major school-wide project is the Christmas delivery to St. James, which benefits families of that parish.

Eucharistic Ministers - Trained to serve the Peace community by assisting with the distribution of Communion at all-school liturgies and special liturgies throughout the year.

Retreat Ministers - Trained to serve as leaders for class retreats. Ministers prepare talks, lead small groups and guide students in retreat activities.

Dominican Preachers - Meet on a regular basis to prepare and proclaim scripture reflection at school prayers services and liturgies. Members of the group represent Queen of Peace every summer at the annual Dominican Preaching Conference in Adrain, Michigan.

Peacebuilders Initiative - Peace has been represented annually at the Peacebuilders summer conference at Chicago's Catholic Theological Union. Peacebuilders design original justice projects that are carried out at their home schools.

Yearly Retreats - Peace offers a four-year retreat program as part of the Christian Living curriculum. Each day-long in-school retreat focuses on building and strengthening relationships with themselves, others and God. Senior year, students may choose to attend VERITAS - a weekend-long retreat where retreatants are challenged to develop a deep and meaningful relationship with God.
