Peace & Justice Groups

Human Rights Task Force

Students in this task force are concerned with the human rights of all people in our world with a focus on discrimination, women’s rights, victims of disease, the elderly, and politics. Members raise consciousness about these issues in our community through research, information sharing, and active service.

Environmental Task Force

Students share their passion for stewardship of the earth by completing conservation projects.

Model UN

The purpose of Model UN is to become more acquainted with world events by participating in a mock United Nations session. Students are assigned a country and attend various meetings. Before the session, students research the country and issues that will be discussed.

Poverty and Hunger Task Force

This group raises awareness of poverty and hunger issues by hosting guest speakers and sponsoring service projects dealing with both national and local justice issues.

Why Peace Matters

As the leading Catholic Dominican high school in the nation for women, Queen of Peace educates and empowers young women to think critically and use their voices. When you invest in Peace, you invest in the next generation of leaders.
