Academic Organizations
Art Club
Students participate in an artistic service project and also create items for the annual fine arts fair.
French Club
French Club students increase their understanding of both the French language and culture through field trips, visits to the Art Institute, and trips to plays, operas and the ballet.
French National Honor Society
Students who excel in French can apply for membership in the Queen of Peace chapter of this national organization.
Future Teachers of America Club
This club promotes academic excellence and leadership responsibilities in students interested in teaching. Activities include tutoring, teaching after school in grammar schools, and developing lesson plans.
International Thespian Society
The International Thespian Society is an organization that recognizes students for excellence in theatre.
Japanese Culture Club
In this club, students learn Anime drawing techniques, listen to Japanese music, and watch Anime films. The club takes a field trip to Mitsuwa Japanese Marketplace in Arlington Heights. Students do not need to be artists to join this club.
Math Club
Students exercise their problem-solving abilities through weekly practice sessions and competing with other schools.
Psychology Club
The Psychology Club discusses topics like Autism, views videos on these topics, and participates in the annual Autism Walk in Lincoln Park. The club focuses on the learning disabilities associated with hearing/speech and reading and explores opportunities in the field, such as becoming a counselor/psychologist and pursuing a career in speech/language pathology and mental illness.
Spanish Club
Spanish Club members increase their understanding of both the Spanish language and culture through field trips and trips to plays, operas and the ballet. The club sponsors an annual service project.
Spanish National Honor Society
Students who excel in Spanish can apply for membership in the Queen of Peace chapter of this national organization.
