Our Student News in the News...

  • In September 2007, The Amity was voted an International First Place Award winner by Quill and Scroll. The University of Iowa’s Quill and Scroll Society is the International Honorary Society for High School Journalists.
  • In September 2006, the Quill and Scroll Society awarded The Amity staff with an International Second Place honor for outstanding news media.
  • In May 2007, Amity writers received recognition from the Illinois Woman’s Press Association. The paper was honored with four awards, including a first place for single-page layout and recognition for an opinion piece, sports photo and editorial.
