Queen of Peace High School is a Catholic all-girls high school sponsored by the Dominicans of Sinsinawa and accredited by AdvancED and the Illinois State Board of Education. The school serves students living throughout Chicago’s southwest side neighborhoods and suburbs including Burbank, Bridgeview, Oak Lawn, Bedford Park, Evergreen Park, Crestwood, Hickory Hills, Hometown, Palos Hills, Palos Heights, Lemont, Downers Grove, Orland Park, Chicago Ridge, Alsip, Justice, Blue Island, Cicero and Summit.
Acceptance to Queen of Peace High School is based on the results of an Entrance Exam, information provided by elementary schools and availability.
The Queen of Peace faculty consists of 25 teachers, 75% of whom hold advanced degrees. The faculty-to-student ratio is 14:1 and two full-time counselors are available to serve students.
Queen of Peace offers 15 advanced placement courses as well as honors courses. Queen of Peace students are not tracked; therefore, all who qualify may choose to take AP classes. Nearly 30% of juniors and seniors enroll annually in AP courses.
